CESAB

CESAB is an Italian manufacturer of conveyor technology, known for its forklifts and belongs to the Toyota Industries Group. CESAB is an acronym for "Carrellificio Emiliano S.p.A. Bologna", which actually means "Emilian forklift company in Bologna".

The company was founded in Bologna in 1942 and taken over by the Maccaferri family in the same year. Business begins in 1948 with the production of railway and materials handling products. 1951 the first electric forklift is manufactured 1954 the first diesel forklift of the company. In April 2000, CESAB was taken over by Toyota, but remained an independent brand with production and sales.
