Ingersoll Rand

Trane Technologies plc (formerly Ingersoll-Rand plc) is an American Irish-domiciled diversified industrial manufacturing company formed in 1905 by the merger of Ingersoll-Sergeant Drill Company and Rand Drill Company. It is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland. Ingersoll-Rand is a global provider of products, services, and integrated solutions to industries as diverse as transportation, manufacturing, construction, and agriculture. Examples include refrigeration, biometric security systems, medium to large-scale air compressors, and compact vehicles for construction and movement of people and goods.

Road Construction Equipment Division
In February 2007, Volvo, a Swedish truck and construction equipment manufacturer, announced its agreement to buy the road construction equipment division of Ingersoll-Rand for $1.3 billion in cash to expand its operations in the United States. The road unit manufactures and sells asphalt paving equipment, compaction equipment, milling machines and construction-related material handling equipment and generated net revenues of approximately $850 million for 2006.

Bobcat
In 2007, Ingersoll Rand sold Clark Equipment Company to Doosan International of South Korea. The sale included the Construction Equipment Group of Ingersoll Rand. The Construction Equipment Group included Bobcat, Portable Air Compressors, Generators, Light Towers, and Construction Equipment Attachments.
